Event at Bethel

The Bethel LGBT group held a forum earlier tonight in response to some things that have been going down on campus. Basically they had a girl speak in chapel who was gay and now is not and she said some pretty hurtful things. Then they brought in a speaker for a qwest forum who also said some pretty heated things. So, the LGBT group on campus responded by holding this forum, because they felt the other side wasn't getting a voice. The event was mostly focused on sharing information, but not shoving it down anyones mouth. So to present a descending viewpoint, with out saying this is the way it, but here is another way to think about this. The event was hosted by mostly seminarian theologian students. It was so honest and real. It was so well done and it left me very optimistic about the future of our church.
